WHO WE HELP

Tax returns for individuals and business owners

Individuals and employees. Straightforward returns and returns with extra complexity, such as rental property, investments, work-related expenses or multiple income sources.

Sole traders and small businesses. If you run a business, your tax return works best when your records are in good shape all year. We can pair your return with bookkeeping and BAS and GST reporting, so your numbers are ready when it is time to lodge. Our sole trader toolkit is a good place to start if you are getting organised.

Companies, trusts and partnerships. Business structures have their own return requirements and deadlines. We prepare these returns and can talk through what your structure means for your reporting.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Tax return questions we hear from clients

When is my tax return due?

The Australian financial year ends on 30 June. If you lodge your own individual return, it is generally due by 31 October. If you use a registered tax agent, you may be eligible for a later lodgement date, but conditions apply, such as being on the agent's client list by 31 October and not having overdue returns. Contact us early so we can confirm the dates that apply to you.

What do I need to prepare my tax return?

This depends on your situation, but typically your income details, records of deductible expenses, and information about any investments or rental property. Business owners will also need their financial records or accounting software access. We confirm the exact list during your free consultation.

Can you prepare returns for my company or trust?

Yes. We prepare company, trust and partnership tax returns as well as individual and sole trader returns.

Do I have to be in Bowral to use your service?

No. Our office is in Bowral and we work with many local clients, but we prepare tax returns online for individuals and businesses across Australia.

Can you also look after my bookkeeping and BAS?

Yes. Many business clients use us for bookkeeping, BAS and tax returns together, so the numbers feed straight through to the end of year.
